Mr. Chase obtained
a Bachelor of Business Administration
degree from The University of Texas in
1983 and received his Doctor of Jurisprudence
from the University of Houston in 1988.
He is currently licensed by the Texas
Supreme Court, the Southern, Western and
Eastern Federal District Courts of Texas,
and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
He is Board Certified in Personal Injury
Trial Law.
Mr. Chase has extensive
experience in both personal injury and
commercial litigation. From 1996 through
2003 he handled commercial auto cases
and defended trucking companies throughout
the State of Texas. During this time he
successfully resolved over 125 cases through
settlement and trial. He obtained complete
defense verdicts in several complex catastrophic
injury cases in various venues, including
Amarillo (amputated leg), Houston (operated
neck), Waller County (multiple fractures),
Laredo (wrongful death) and Laredo (comminuted
fracture of left leg with four surgeries).
Mr. Chase has also
successfully handled appellate cases and
has several published opinions. Mr. Chase
has experience in all areas of personal
injury defense litigation including premises
liability, products liability, auto liability
and medical malpractice.
Mr. Chase is a
member of The Houston and American Bar
Associations, The Bar Association of Fifth
Circuit Court, The Texas Association of
Defense Counsel, and The Defense Research
Institute, Inc.
Mr. Chase and his
wife Leslie are the proud parents of three
children, Austin, Sidney and Chance.
