Ms. Horne was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Minor in History. She received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 2008, where she worked as a student attorney in the law clinic representing indigent clients in social security and family law matters. Ms. Horne also successfully participated in upper-level moot court competitions, served as the president of a political organization, vice-president of the Texas Wesleyan Law Fellowship Committee, and vice president of the Family Law Association. She received the 2007 Larry Margolies Pro Bono Fellowship and helped raise over $19,000 to provide for students committed to pro bono work. While in law school, Ms. Horne interned in the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, Legal Aid of Northwest Texas and worked in the City of Fort Worth Mayor and Council Office.
Prior to joining Sprott, Rigby, Newsom, Robbins, Lunceford & Bell, P.C., Ms. Horne practiced as a contract attorney with Law Office of Cynthia M. Ruiz in Houston. She has assisted in all aspects of litigation, including case development, discovery and pre-trial resolution.
Ms. Horne is a member of the Texas Young Lawyers Association, Houston Young Lawyers Association and Houston Bar Association. She is currently licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas.
