BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Sprott was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and obtained a
Bachelor of Business Administration degree in three years from Corpus Christi
State University in 1981. He was a multi-lines insurance adjustor for State Farm Insurance Company before receiving his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston in 1985. Mr. Sprott is currently licensed by the Texas Supreme Court, the Southern and Eastern Federal District Courts, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Sprott is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.*

Mr. Sprott was formerly associated with the law firm of Giessel, Stone, Barker
& Lyman, P.C. and served as house counsel to Union Pacific Railroad Co. He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law, Texas Board of Legal Specialization 1991 (re-certified in 1996 and 2001).

Mr. Sprott has successfully defended over 58 first chair cases to verdict.         He has participated in approximately 80 trials. (Past performance is no guarantee of future results.) He has also successfully argued
before the 1st, 9th, and 14th Courts of Appeals of Texas. Mr. Sprott argued
Park Place Hospital v. Estate of Milo (909 S.W.2d 508), before the Supreme
Court of Texas, a unanimous decision that strengthened the rights of
health-care defendants by requiring plaintiffs to prove their damages in
medical wrongful death cases.

Mr. Sprott also volunteers his services to Houston Volunteer Lawyers
Association and Child Protective Services by providing free legal
representation to adoptive parents of children under the control of CPS.

Mr. Sprott has spoken before numerous health and risk-management groups,
and has been active in the community as a past board member of three Texas
railroads and his neighborhood civic club. He is actively involved in his church
and is the proud parent of three children.
