BIOGRAPHY |

Roger
Berger received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory
University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1986.
He completed a joint degree program at
Tulane University in 1990, where he obtained a
Masters in Health Administration and his law degree
with honors.
Mr. Berger has practiced law in Houston since
1990, first with Hirsch, Glover, Robinson & Sheiness
and then with Uzick & Oncken.
Since 1990, he has had a civil litigation
practice with an emphasis in the defense of health
care providers of all specialties in malpractice
litigation.
In addition to over a dozen jury trials
throughout Texas, Mr. Berger has handled more than a
dozen appeals in Courts of Appeals throughout the
state and in the Supreme Court.
Mr. Berger has also represented
health care providers in administrative proceedings
such as investigations by the Texas Medical Board.
He is admitted to practice law in all state
courts and in the Federal District Courts for the
Eastern, Southern, and Northern Districts of Texas
and has represented physicians in multi-district
litigation matters involving Rezulin, Baycol, and
HRT, which were pending in Federal Courts in New
York, Minnesota and Arkansas respectively.
Mr. Berger volunteers through LIPS (Lawyers in
Public Schools) in the Spring Branch ISD and is also
a VIP volunteer for his daughter’s school in the
CyFair School District.
He is a member of the Houston, Texas and
American Bar Associations and is also a member of
the Greater Houston Society for Healthcare Risk
