BIOGRAPHY |
Ms. Sears grew up in San Antonio, Texas and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin in 1998. She then attended law school at the University of Houston on a Dean's Merit Scholarship, and earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2004. Ms. Sears studied International Law at the University of Vienna during the summer of 2002.
During her time at the University of Houston, Ms. Sears was active in the student government as an elected representative to the Student Bar Association for all three years of law school. Additionally, she interned for the Honorable Judge Rory Olsen in Harris County Probate Court No. 3, and also worked as a law clerk for Cenatiempo & Ditta, L.L.P. while in law school. Ms. Sears is licensed by the Texas Supreme Court. She obtained her license in November of 2004. She currently assists the firm in general defense litigation, with an emphasis on asbestos defense and insurance defense.
